Profile description of Progtech:

A South African living in NZ.

I can clearly remember being introduced to electronic dance music in 1998. A friend picked me up from Cape Town airport and as we drove along the coast he had Sasha's Global Underground San Francisco mix on in the car. I was memsmerised.

I got my hands on as many mix albums as I could and immersed myself in them, I started going to raves and clubs and eventually got him to teach me how to DJ. I then moved to London to work and lost myself in tiny record stores and amazing clubs.

As the years went by, I moved to NZ and have been here ever since. My love affair with progressive trance, progressive house and techno has stayed with me.

You are no longer here Alex, but thank you for being a shining light in my life and introducing me to my greatest passion. Always missed and never forgotten, love ya mate.
