Music and sounds of Megabass

Megabass was a rave event organised in 1991 by Scotland’s DJ Kid who would later go on to champion Jungle and Drum & Bass music north of the border. The event took place in the function hall above The Complex in Penicuik, a town situated about 10 miles outside Edinburgh. There were three Megabass events in total in Penicuik.

Unfortunately the event was unable to continue due to violence outside the third event between Penicuik and Loanhead who had an ongoing feud during those days.

Megabass was then moved over 40 miles away to the function hall of Crystals Arena Ice Rink in Glenrothes Fife. After one successful event, the name was changed to Pandemonium. and would go on to be one of the most reputable events in the Scottish rave scene during the early 90's.
