Peter Rauhofer was an incredible influence on my house and club music education. When I came out in 1995 and started clubbing, I fell in love with his classic house sound and also his NYC underground sound. From there, he took me on an amazing musical journey over the years. Peter was gifted beyond words, and had probably the most diverse discography of any DJ I followed. For my tribute mix, I tried to select tracks that had special meaning to me and also showcased his varied styles of production over his career. There were many more I could have included, but with the mix clocking in at over 2 hours, I felt I had done enough. I only included one new track, but that’s because most are familiar with his more recent work. He was extremely talented and relevant until the day he passed. Peter, you were truly….UNIQUE….
