DS1 is an experiment in what might be called Symphonic Dubstep. It brings a fairly typical synth bass and sparse metallic drums combination together with a traditional cinematic orchestra. Considered as a work of hybrid scoring, it acknowledges its influences in film as well as in the tradition of electronic music culminating in the Dubstep form as it manifested in England in the early first decade, and so might be a fit for a film set in that place at that time.
