Before Larry Levan, before Paradise Garage, before the 80s there was a great club called 12 WEST!!
It was the place to go to party and hear GREAT MUSIC. They had some great DJs there and one was TOM SAVARESE.
It was hard for me to go hear him play as he played the exact same time & days as I played; but all my friends would
tell me the details.....well me & my friends could never get a good quality tape of him spinning.
It was always in MONO, or from a dodgy cassette...you can hear what & how he played it, but could not enjoy it because of the quality..

NOW a coleague of mine CHRIS BARON has painstakenly recreated a 6 Hour set Tom did at 12 West, using the same versions, 12"s, albums that he did.
He also made sure he carefully mixed it the same way Tom did.
AND IT SPARKLES!!!! So here is a capsule of the time; Some GREAT MUSIC HERE!!!
