Officially she is an Artist (DJ), Psychoanalyst, event manager, promoter and a counsellor. Unofficially she is a choreographer, carpenter, electrician & a multidisciplinary designer of creative arts. This 28yr old Scottish born Bangladeshi, deep house, nu-disco & indie dance DJ is clearly a 'Jacquelin Of All Trades'. Operating in the new age of digital dependency. She chooses to stand at the crossroad of modernism and function. She expresses her thoughts, visions & convictions through action, interaction and collaboration of cultures, music & creative arts.For someone with so many occupational traits, Xayana considers herself a simple & grateful person, who reaped the benefits of the millennial era to its fullest. Now she spends her everyday life coming up with some little way to return that favour. Be it as an agent for the UN & other NGO's for humanitarian missions & causes, or be it making a mixtapesession for her audiences, which she originally began making in 2012 and has been making consistently since. Over the course of the past 4years, almost all her sessions have managed to reach the Mixcloud Top 100 charts in their designated sub-genres, and is the kind of little moments she derives her personal joy from. One of the other thing that she considers more self indulgent and gives her the most joy is, as the is to cater for a live audience, even though its often hard to tell which side of the floor she is on, because even from behind the decks Xayana can’t help but dance the night away.
