Life in the digital age is shaped by a mass of images, information and impressions, which penetrate us without a filter to the point of total overstimulation. It is not uncommon to feel like the poorly conceived prototype of a robot forced to function in a world which greatly exceeds one's own complexity. No objective, no program to guide us. And we get more and more lost in this infinite freedom while we're transfixed to the spot, watching the horizon drift further away. All that remains is an empty space, offering everything and demanding only one thing: new input.

The Lost Bot's debut album "Binary Life" deals with the dilemmas of modern life and of youth – with endless possibilities and the ensuing disorientation. Influenced by progressive electro and the spirit of the eighties, director and musician Niels Reinhard aka The Lost Bot creates a dense, ambient sound which has – not least due to the artist's cinematic inclination – great movie soundtrack potential.

The first single “Young and Strong (feat. Laura Carbone)” already summarizes the album's theme in warm synth pop and dreamy lyrics: a boundless love of life, high spirits and excess meet melancholia, naivety and young people's ubiquitous fear of failure. The song deals with a world in which love and lust prosper and perish, where euphoria and desperation go hand in hand and where the intensity of experience can sometimes trigger an impulsive act of (self-) destruction. It is a search for truth, identity and happiness, during which the impossible is not left undone – true to the motto 'Not all who wander are lost'.
