As luck would have it, that’s precisely what Voodoocuts and Jayl Funk have done for Honkey Phonk 7. The former nabs Zebra’s uptempo obscurity Simple Song (not, apparently, anything to do with the Sly & The Family Stone song of the same name) and applies Jurassic 5′s In The House ‘pella to create funky, disco-rap crack. The latter helps himself to Earth, Wind & Fire’s version of Dirty and delivers a slightly more hypnotic affair but no less crowd-pleasing." *****
