🔥 Ten Years Later: The Empty Eyes of the Present

Back in 2015, my dear friend Bård Kvale and I wrote and produced a raw, personal song in Norway that captured the deep chasm between an outward façade and inner pain: "Maybe it seems like I'm happy."

Ten years on, facing a world that feels precariously close to the edge, these lyrics have taken on a chilling new urgency. What was once an intimate confession ("Hoping you don't look me in the eyes / Because you will see my empty eyes") now feels like the collective hiding of our fear and fragility.

I've re-recorded this track in 2025—not just as a tribute to Bård’s and my original production, but because the message is more vital than ever. It’s about finding the strength not to be weak when our world is breaking down. A melancholic testament that proves: We are not alone in our empty eyes.
