Music and sounds of Timewarp Music

Timewarp Music is an independent Greek record label whose musical style moves through Nu-Funk, Dub, Breaks and Freestyle paths.

Its the creation of Angelos 'Timewarp' Stoumpos since 2004, Timewarp Music, was inspired by the fresh Nu-Funk and Dub Electronica music stream that at the time was blooming in the neighborhouds of Vienna, Berlin and Washington, the purpose was to present this sound in Greece and has managed up to know to become the home of 35 and more musicians, DJ's and bands.

The producers that complete the Timewarp Music family are spread all around the world, while some of them have been introduced in the Greek discography, others have international careers with some of their tracks to be a 'must' for every freestyler that respects himself.

The past 6 years, since 2004 up to know, Timewarp Music has released 6 Artist Albums (CD), 3 compilations (CD) and 2 singles, one cd and one vinly (to honour its funk/dub roots).

Apart from the physical product, Timewarp Music was one of the first independent record label that believed and invested in digital discography... and was prooved right, through her impressive digital catalogue, that counts already 67 (sixty seven) releases (turning into the more active independent record label in Greece), was many times featured in the top positions of Nu-Funk, Downtempo, Electronica Charts in the biggest digital retail music stores, like I-Tunes, Beatport, Juno, DJ Download and E-music.

All these hits gave us the title of the biggest Freestyle Ambassador of Greece in reviews in American and British radio stations like KRCW and BBC.

Timewarp Music is running her own radio show which is broadcasted weekly from 8 Greek and 5 European radio stations. Timewarp Music Radio Show is a showcase of all the releases of the label, mixed either from the label boss Angelos 'Timewarp' Stoumpos, either from international top artists, like Quincy Jointz (Germany), Ancient Astronauts (Germany), Dublex inc (Germany), Scheibosan & Shanti Roots / Vienna Scientists (Austria), Uwe Walkner / Etage Noir (Austria), Dining Rooms / Schema (Italy) and many more.

If you havent had a clear picture from all the above up to now, then for sure you must have picked up some tune of Timewarp Music, as she is currently involved in sound design for major advertising campaigns. Just to mention a few TV spots for VW Polo, Seat Ibiza, Honda HRV, Stolichnaya, Nokia, ABC while more than 15 tracks of the catalog of Timewarp Music were included in the famous application 'Tap Tap Revenge' for Apple's I-phone.
