Surely this would have to be the most unexpected piece of music I have posted.

I'll explain...

In the past I have contributed music for a number of business projects - i.e. presentations, videos, events etc. I know "purists" will probably be sickened by the notion, but I find something very liberating in writing music to a brief. It allows me to shelve all my preconceptions, likes/dislikes, notions of cool and just deliver what has been asked of me.

I now have a big collection of tracks that I named "Music For Corporations".

This piece was written for a software company about two years ago. It was intended to be background music for instructional videos etc. The idea was to have something modern, clean, IT feeling, but with a bit of warmth to it. Like some Brian Eno's music it was meant to be music that you could either concentrate on or simply let it wash over you.

Anyway, there will be a return to my songwriting on my next post. If nothing else I hope it demonstrates my flexibility as a writer.

Hope you enjoy!
