Solidago virgaurea – The soulful voice of Charlotte Haining and blissful sounds of Bcee and Blu Mar Ten on “Grow” diving into the complex and beautifully menacing layers of “Albiorix” by Adred and Danny Rhodes… a totally awesome piece of work! The bass on “Prototype” by Dis_turbed breathes like a dragon under a mountain and then lifts into driving sub-base, searching violins and sky vibes courtesy of “Private Time” by the Russian genius Nelver who has become one of my favourite artists over the years. Enter a “Distant” splash of rolling drums over humming bass to drive the journey forward by Polaris. I love the gated vocal of ‘I wish I could turn back time’ by The Vanguard Project on “Want U Back”… I could try and come up with more words for the whole mix but… I’d rather get on with planning my next mix TBH. There’s many more DnB styles, often quite hard but without being blaring, offensive, ear-bleeding or just noise… just the good stuff.
