Finally had my beautiful new GEM Wizard 330L electronic organ delivered to it's new home at the West End Neighbourhood Centre this morning - lcil.org.uk/west-end-centre . It's my local community centre, a very friendly and inclusive place providing some fantastic services and a large hall space for a variety of events, including brilliant projects like the Real Junk Food Project therealjunkfoodproject.org and The Social Media Cafe lcil.org.uk/what-we-do/social-media-cafe , to mention just a couple. These coincide every Friday between 12 and 2pm, and I am planning to run a weekly musical jam and recording session right after for the cafe crowd, and start building a library of sounds for the centre and it's community to use in the production of new music, sound art and podcast material.

The recording captures myself improvising on the piano over the rhythmic accompaniment of my new electronic/organic friend "The Wizard" on the bass and drum(she really knows how to maintain a tight groove!) You'll also hear the clattering of tables and chairs being setup for the Asian Lunch Club (every Wednesday at 1pm) and the soft echoes of the chefs in the kitchen.

The West End Neighbourhood Centre is run by Leicestershire Centre for Integrated Living (LCiL lcil.org.uk ), a brilliant charity dedicated to "empowering disabled people".
