A two and a half-week roundtrip through Japan this autumn was also used for extensive crate diggin'. The japanese people are well-known for beeing serious music nerds. It is therefore no surprise that the medium vinyl isn't a current hype as in the western hemisphere but deeply rooted in the life of japanese people.
Besides to a vast amount of record stores you can find almost all population stratum in the shops: from young schoolgirls, experienced crate diggers to businessmen.
