Recorded & composed onsite at the Contain Yourself artist residency in Footscray to complement the ongoing work of Dagmara Gieysztor around the challenges faced by refugees. The sounds are made entirely from a 30 minute contact mic recording of a retired, rusty oil heating tank that is in the yard of friendly neighbour Steve Phillips at Waterside Metal Art, who kindly gave me unlimited access to the forge :-)

PS. A general note to Australia - How about remembering that these people (refugees/asylum seekers are humans, and wouldn't you do the same in their shoes? But thank your lucky stars that you're not, and you are not risking your life on some overloaded, leaking boat, and maybe abide by international law & let these people into Australia, and when they get here let them work. For fucks sake.
