As he was growing up there was always an interest in DJing. Simon, at the time listened to hip hop/rap, and loved DJ's such as Rich Rich, Mix Master Mike, DJ Quick. When his father wasnt home, he and his brother(dj wes nile) would attempt scratching on his home stereo turntable. Though it was Technic it was nothing like what they had seen and heard the pros do. Over time the interest in DJing seem to fade as life went on.

In 2002 Simon moved to Central Florida, where is father had been living for a short period of time. Began working for a boat manufacturer full time. Once meeting new people through work he was then introduced to the Florida Breaks scene. Simon recalls going to Ybor City the first time and seeing Huda Hudia live and having no idea who he was, but was amazed by the sound, the lights, and how the crowd was completely in tune with it all. This would be the beginning of a great journey.

Simon Says bought himself two turntables and a mixer, began teaching himself how to mix by watching videos and going to see dj's play as often as he possibly could. Asking advice now and then from the legend Rick West while at Painted Puppy Records or quickly from Tampa's DJ Mondo before his start time at the Amp. He recorded every time he would practice so he could play it back and critique his mixes. In 2006 he entered in a local "Battle of the DJ's" placing third and in 2007 was offered a radio spot, which he turned down. Simon, says that by always thinking that you can do better than what you already are is what keeps him practicing, but also caused him to miss some open doors. 2008, he joined the Army and put DJing behind him for a little while.

Life played on for awhle and in 2013 Simon decided he wanted to get back into DJing, something he had loved and now had nothing to stop him. Djing itself had changed a lot, almost everything being digital. Simon had to swallow some pride and think about switching over to a controller. He picked up quickly, almost right where he had left off only this time in a city that hadnt really taken on any type of EDM. Starting in May 2013 and still going steady, Simon has played in many different venues in the Sioux Falls area and expanding in 2014. Keep your eye out for upcoming show dates and times, also check out Simons facebook pages, mixcloud, soundcloud, youtube, google+, ect
