I just found this tape in a stack of damaged tapes to be repaired.

Another homemade reel-to-reel mixtape by Michael Lee, made with his import 7" 45RPM collection. The brand of tape (Scotch) that it was recorded on is notorious for sticky shed syndrome, after decades of storage. This is where the tape layers stick together on the reel. When you try to play the tape, it sheds apart and the tape is destroyed. I was able to ressurect the tape with the "tape baking" process, and was able to save it. The only part of the tape that couldn't be saved, was the last few minutes, which shred apart. Therefore, the first song on side 2 had to be removed. Click the photo above to see the track listing.
