DJ Mix Club: First round of mix club 2016

This mix as part of a group called DJ Mix Club. It was recorded on Traktor from the front room in South Ealing and follows a theme set by the group. The Mix is me experimenting with "my sound" to fit the theme and explore different style of music they wouldn't necessarily get to play. More importantly the peer perspective helps people like me stop endlessly fiddling with the same tracks and be more productive.

This was my first recorded mix in a long time! I was very nervous to share it as doing mixes used to be such a long and drawn out process with vinyl that it was a case of putting everything into it. It is now easier to do technically but with children it is more a case of finding the time and energy. Either way I felt a bit rusty and self conscious.

Therefore the most embarrassing track was my track 'Joyride'. Just because it was the first time it had ever been heard! Bet track as always the classic 'At Les' by Carl Craig (and Christian Smith).
