TIU 100 "COMPENDIUM ONE"
(NO FULL TRACKLIST)

From the spacetastic “The Fall” by Way Out West, to the emo as fuck remix of “Disarm” by Harry Hard, the first part of this compendium of sorts touches upon the moody and atmospheric side of trance. Robert Vadney, Kirsty Hawkshaw, Jon Crosse all stab at the melancholic gut before we get into a canter with first some techy tracks & then uplifting vocals. I wish the likes of Wandii, Above & Beyond stayed at their melodic & uplifting peaks shown in that part of the set. There’s not much room for overly subtle dance records in my mixes, I find them bland & uninspiring. Nothing in for example Group Therapy stands out as an amazing track played by itself or as part of a set or show. My inspiration for sets, shows & mixing as a whole has come from the early days of Armin van Buuren’s ASOT, various CD compilations I piled up on my shelves as a teenager and years of listening to Alex Pepper on the Galaxy 105 Evening Show, especially ITM@9. Cheers
