When Two Become One

Used to stare at the ceiling,
asking the dark "What am I for?"
Days drifted like empty pages,
heart still knocking on the door.
Walked through faith like a stranger,
spoke the words but they fell flat.
Heard about heaven in a sermon,
but felt nothing from all that.

Then you took my hand and the ache went quiet.
All that wasted time when my mind was a riot.

Love was the reason God's calling me.

You laugh and the questions soften,
All my theories fade like smoke
