Yougene - Closed Doors (Steinklopfer & Sued Remix)

We are really excited to present to you the second incarnation of the recomposed series.<br />This time Zurich based producer and Synthesizer aficionado Steinklopfer picked two songs from the Ghosthall catalogue. It’s already the second time for him to release on Ghosthall. The first release was together with Philipp Cron as us & sparkles, now on the recomposed series you get a chance to hear Steinklopfer solo. The first of the two songs is „There Is Only Now“, and while the original version is already really deep, Steinklopfer preserved the original mood of the song, yet made it sound raw and dark. Steinklopfers extensive use of analogue drummachines and synthesizers is something that clearly plays a huge part in his musical style.<br />On „Closed Doors“ Steinklopfer and Sued managed to incorporate the original melodic motive, while extending and reharmonizing it in a clever way. The chord changes and the melodic embellishments on „Closed Doors“ are something that isn’t much heard in contemporary electronic music, and therefore worth a listen!
