La sinapsis social se refiere a ese lazo invisible que se crea entre las personas, incluso entre desconocidos, en situaciones tales como escuchar musica. Se trata de una unión de fuerzas muy singular, en pos de un objetivo generalmente de carácter social; si éste no es alcanzado con éxito, entonces el sufrimiento es colectivo y se da a niveles que nos recuerdan que somos todos seres vivos, mientras que si se cumple, la satisfacción es mayor que la experimentada por un logro personal.

The social synapse refers to that invisible bond that is created between people, even between strangers, in situations such as listening to music. It is a union of singular forces in pursuit of a social objective generally; if it is not successfully achieved, then the suffering is collective and occurs at levels that remind us that we are all living beings, whereas if it is satisfied, the satisfaction is greater than that experienced by a personal achievement.
