Yahweh, my shepherd
I shall not end up empty.

In tender pastures green
He calms me down to dream
awake, by dancing stream-
beds joined he . . . leads me.

My soul! oh, he restores
and transports through righteous
seasons, in the shining of his heavy name.

Yahweh, my shepherd
I shall not end up empty

While I walk
the ravine
down the shadow of death
I will fear no evil.
Yea, though I
step the chasm
in the gorge of the grave
I will fear no evil

Because you are with me.
Your Chosen Branch, Your Walkingstick,
These console me.

You set the table up,
This cov’nant cup over-
flows, facing me, face the world, your sacred spread.

You anoint my head
my cup over-
flows! In the abundance of your love I lean.

Yahweh, my Shepherd!
I shall not end in emptiness.

Only Good things and steadfast love
Will follow me for all my life.

I know Good things and hesed
Over shoulder stay for ll my days.

And I will live
in the very house of Yahweh
for eternity.
