Nimlos' Sound

Rostov-on-Don, Russia

Nimlos' Sound is a creative page of sound recordist and audio editor Nikolay Kaplya, a.k.a. Nicolas Nimlos. Nicolas started sound recording activity in 2013 while he studied sound engineering in Rostov State Conservatory where he gathered experience as a studio sound engineer, field recordist and production sound assistant. After that point Nicolas did much self-taught practice in sound design and game audio - probably it could be called some kind of "professional" hobby at that point, but he was really keen on all that game sound stuff and would like to do it for a living. In the beginning of 2016 Nicolas with friends recordists started to make little neat sound effect libraries both for free exchange and for sale to compensate time and efforts and resources spent on sound recording equipment and further editing. These packs are mainly suited for "indie" game devs but also helpful as sound design kits for movies and video clips - distributed through stock sites such as Pond5, AudioJungle and even Soundly cloud-based browsing apps.

Since midsummer of 2018 Nicolas has worked as freelance sound editor on UpWork platform, collaborating with indie game developers and animators all over the world. In 2020 Nicolas quitted his day-job and joined team of creative video makers and sound enthusiasts in his hometown to create new studio and extend limitations of ones mind. Until now he remains creative freelancer open for opportunities and new interesting projects!
