I was thinking of a very nice walk through the woods in North Carolina with my wife recently. We were visiting the state park homestead of Dr. Francis Kron, an early family that settled here from Prussia/France around 1830. The location near a river bank tended to make the trails somewhat muddy. I thought about the abundant wildlife at that time and European background of Dr. Kron and imagined some tunes coming from the front porch played by his visiting friends.

Thanks to Dick for the wonderful violin melody, birds and drums.
