Ellwangen (Jagst), Deutschland

DJ and Creator from southern Germany.

I started my journey with DJing in May 2023.
Since then I am constantly evolving and improving to get ready to spread my love for Techno in Clubs and at Festivals in 2024.

Being a musician for more than 25 years, playing three instruments (guitar, drums, bass), I started DJing to explore a totally new field of musical experience that I always carried deep in my heart.
But I was never really able to explore it from behind the decks.

Growing up in the 90s where Techno started to emerge and grow, l was listening to music from a popular genre that is/was called "euro dance" as a child. With artists like Culture Beat, Haddaway, DJ Bobo, Charly Lownoise & Menthal Theo and many more making chart appearances. This paired with the mostly instrumental music my father loved and played in the car while driving - mainly Mike Oldfield and Enya - formed the base layer for my taste in electronic music.

From this starting point I actively went down the rabbit hole by exploring and experimenting with music production software like the eJay line of products. They gave me the first limited toolset to learn and to express myself as a music producer by creating songs from readymade samples that where organized in blocks so you could just drag and drop them in line and see if it sounds good to your ear.

By doing so I produced my first couple of Drum and Bass tracks that would later be put together to form an album which was never released.

As my love for atmospheric electronic music grew bigger, I turned to Trance and Deep House with Trance Allstars artists like ATB, Schiller, Sunbeam, Taucher, Talla 2XLC, DJ Mellow-D but also York with their biggest hit "On the beach" covering a Chris Rea classic (still one of my favourite dance tracks).

Because of my other musical endeavors (playing Drums, later on Bass etc.) that music producer part of me moved to the background and remained silent for a few years.
Being a drummer really boosted my musical taste and I developed a knack for many different styles, incorporating many influences in my music.

During a HipHop-focused episode I eventually started making beats, rediscovering the music producer in me, using Fruity Loops and Magix Music Maker as my weapons of choice.
But this time and project never bore any real fruit so I did it merely for fun and experience.

After this phase was gone and I had returned to playing real instruments again, I had a short dip into producing some house/electro music under the moniker "Tiefenrausch" Both tracks are available to listen to on YouTube.

After some more private episodes with focus on getting my professional career going, playing in bands, getting married, becoming a father and all the other "normal" stuff men do, I found my way back to listening to electronic music again in 2023. I never really lost connection to it, but it hadn't been my focus for a long time.

Some sunny spring day in 2023, a friend of mine who has been DJing for 15 years, inspired me to get into Techno again. After some listening to Techno Live Sets of different artists on YouTube to find something to fit my style, I discovered a track called "Kronos" from an Artist called Hi-Lo, which got me hooked in seconds! From that moment I knew I wanted to be the guy behind the decks. Becoming the DJ. The rest is history made and still to be made.

Thank you Cuban8 and Oliver Heldens for sparking my passion for Techno again!
