INTERVIEWER: So, we meet again (giggles).
MYXOTIC: Yes, we do. Funny how that happens every time we're here.
INTERVIEWER: (giggles) well, you know why...
MYXOTIC: Of course, so let's get on with it.
INTERVIEWER: So, first off, another great set from you two. You guys changed things up a bit and started off with your roots, any reason why? Also, what was up with the mini trap set in the middle of your regular set? The people loved it!
MYXOTIC: Well, we've had this urge to return to our roots and I thought it was a great idea to satisfy our souls but also stand out from every other DJ here today. As for the trap thing, we like to do things people aren't expecting, in a good way obviously, but also George and I love all the music we call electronic dance music. There's too much great music out there to stay in a bubble of a genre. Music brings us together and that was very clear today. Different races and cultures all at one place enjoying the music together. That's what it's about.
INTERVIEWER: Absolutely! So, how do you guys feel being welcomed back for a third straight year?
MYXOTIC: Immensely grateful. We love everyone here. The crowd is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the assistants do a good job hiding the fact we each need two shots of Patron before going on to ease the nerves. We want to put on a good show, not second guess shit. Whether it's the 1st time or 12th time, we still get nervous when performing for these festivals. I think it's healthy though. Keeps us on our toes. We could've never imagined doing this but want to go so much further. This is only the beginning of a new beginning. We have a lot more planned. So, definitely stay with us.
