Welcome to another installment of The Black Diamond Reggae Bashment experience. This Strictly Rockaz movement “Just Cool And Deadly” is a throwback to a space, time and very special choones.

I want to take a second to big up all the sounds I listened to years ago that inspired me to love dancehall and influenced my play. Sting Intl, Afrique Sound System, Stone Love, Earth Ruler, King Jammys, Kilamanjaro, Addies, Gemini, Bad Company, Bobby Konders, to name a few.

With no disrespect to the advancement of the culture of roots, rock and reggae, I believe there is nothing like the classics. When the dubs was nice, the musik was conscious, the singers saaaaang and the music went straight to your soul. So I wanted to recreate that experience with a visit to the old reggae bashments and the Hed Kandi choones.

So salute to my old spaces…Love People, Biltmore Ballroom, Africa House, Starlight Ballroom, The Ark, Club Illusions, The Village Hut, Tilden Ballroom, The Underground (Manhattan), The Q Club (Queens), all the afterwork reggae hangs in Manhattan (Silver Shadow, Down Under etc) and all the places and spaces I left out. What happened there and with who will remain nameless like it does it Vegas.The experiences were legendary…I was legendary lol.

So fellas put on a crisp bally boot or a Clarks with your 3 piece suit and ting. Ladies put on a nice frock, ya hair done and a beautiful pair a shoe. Grab a Guiness, A baby Sham, A Kalua and Milk, A Moet, a Cani or a Champagne. Hold a corner and rent a partner and a tile cause it’s bubbling time.

So ladies and gentlemen…IT’S A ROCKERS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN……IT’S A ROCKAZ!!!! PULL IT THE CHOONE SELECTOR AND LEGGO THIS ONE YAH!!!!!MO FIYAH MO FIYAH!!!!!!!
