Marshall Wilson aka DJ MARDY MAR hailing from Jamaica, Queens got his start in music through various inspirations.From being around his older Sister's professional musical endeavors, Mardy Mar was around the likes of artists such as Chaka Khan,Tom Browne, Meli'sa Morgan, Angie Stone, Jodeci, Roy Ayers, Amel Larrieux (Groove Theory) Caron Wheeler (Soul II Soul) and many of the up in coming rappers around the greater NYC area and abroad.
At an early age Mardy Mar was always tinkering with music. From playing drums in his High School band (where he spent his teenage years in Kingstree, SC) to playing piano and rapping, Mardy was always finding ways to express his talents. His LOVE and RESPECT for the art of music as WELL as his broad and diverse tastes lead him to gather those aspects into his "Sound" as a DJ.
Mardy Mar's "House Music mixes" (his Specialty) have become a solid staple on YouTube gaining new fans and listeners daily. His blending of new and old, House and Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Soul, Reggae, Jazz and Funk have fans now requesting his music and mixes on a regular basis. You can dance and groove or simply just "Nod your head" to the vibe. His mixes can take you through a busy afternoon or evening with that "I'm at the CLUB in V.I.P. just CHILLIN" vibe.
