they ask for discount
they read sophisticated books
they try out fancy diets
they always quit smoking
they believe in the establishment
they marvel at uninspired modern art
they eat chocolate bars

them
they are creatively gifted
they talk about money
they care about refugees
they're deeply compassionate
they hose down their cars
they walk their dogs
they vote very, very left
they have validated opinions on everything

and when they close their eyes
they sleep so marvellously well
they dream of their good friends
and how those friends admire…

they cook vegan curries
they run on the sidewalk
they save on taxes
they drink still water
they drink expensive wine
they are so in charge
they laugh a bit too loud
they get tight-lipped around strangers
they like health resort holidays (detox treatment)

and when they fold their hands
they know for sure they’ve got it right
they sound off their beliefs
and how their lord is fond of…

they build substantial houses
they build fences and walls
they track stock exchange quotations
they wear fancy glasses
they raise children
they pile up cash
they are majorly important
they call each other darling and honey and
they don’t give a shit
