Ma-Check got in touch with music due to a family legacy. His Aunt, a polish violist, brought him on regular bases to the polish national opera and his mother was playing lullabies on the piano every night. At the age of 10, Ma-Check came to Berlin - a western world full of new possibilities. Growing up in Kreuzberg he was introduced and exposed to a variety of mentalities and cultures and since music had been literally brought to his cradle he soon connected to Hip-Hop.Fast Forward: 1993. Ma-Check was working next to school to afford his first 2 turntables. Practising everyday and producing mixtapes made him known among his folks and he was soon invited to spin at private parties. Rocking the parties build and extended his reputation. Only first steps but these already only allowed one conclusion, the inevitably will happen. Living up to his destiny he finally had his break-trough with the radio station Kiss FM. Kicking it hard time he was broadcasting on Soul Connection with Pete Soul from 1 to 6 am, Wednesdays for Kiss City Mix with Mr. Georg and later Richie B. and Saturdays at Boogie Down Berlin with DJ Tomekk, for whom he was often times subbing at the radio station. To wrap up the week he mixed at the live events of Malboro Groovin' to the Maxx as a guest-DJ. However despite of the numerous radio events he was spinning it on top of that for well known clubs like 90, Sage, Motown, Boogaloo and more.As a man for the crowds his, personal highlights were gigs with more than 5000 fans. Aftershowparties of MOP, Ice Cube, Xzibit at the Sage Club, or Angie Martinez & Ray J at the Matrix and gigs with Montell Jordan were followed by an invitation to the New York Hip-Hip goes Polongna broadcasted by VIVA Polongna. A croud of over 9.000 black-music fans was going crazy when he was showing them his skills thus making him one of the best-acts of the day. Radio stations and TV-broadcaster were waiting in line to get interviews that night. VIVA Polongna could not resist to invite him to 'Bless Da Mic' were he was spinning his discs next to artists like KMC, Harleckinz and KC Da Rookee and by the end of 2004 Ma-Check was touring the Euro-Tour with Joerilla, Pyranja and all the artists associated to the Ostblokk label. Ma-Beat'z is the name of his current project where he is sharing his beats with top artists on international level. Former corporations included renowned names like Missy, Lumidee, Joe Budden, Justin Timberlake and Joerilla but many more are to come in the future.By today Ma-checks achievements and work have made him an esteemed DJ with a reputation that extends far beyond the boundaries of Germany and Europe and his final statement makes us only look for more: 'I am born to be a DJ, and my ultimate goal is to infest the entire world with party fever!'.
