Trevelyan is the Leeds based producer and one part of Hanover collective that presents now the Shei Zhi Dao EP of which we bring to you exclusively the song "May". The new work orbits around the experimental fields of Hip Hop, deep Dubstep, soulful beats and cutting edge sound design crafted with great excellence that draws noticeable influences from names like Flying Lotus, Shigeto, Onra or early UK Trip hop but applies unique personal touch while exploring the possibilities inside electronic music. Using minimalist elements to create dusty and raw percussive patterns balanced with more clean and energetic rhythms which create hypnotic cadence helped by voice sampling that works sometimes as an instrument. Layered by restless and subtle glass resonant frequencies, ethereal synth chords, prominent basslines or impeccable classic instruments such violin, "May" is suitable for every introspective process you may use as it provides melancholic and lively characteristics at the same time.
