Темы, в которых отношения любви-ненависти объединяют нас, потому что мы ненавидим их тексты, исполнителя, который поет их, или потому, что нас не устраивает тот простой факт, что они популярны. И даже тогда в этих песнях есть что-то, что делает их неотразимыми.

In this week's chapter we deal with the peculiar concept of guilty pleasures, that is, those songs that we listen to in secret but that we would never admit we like. Themes to which a love-hate relationship unites us because we hate their lyrics, the artist who sings them or because we are uncomfortable with the simple fact that they are popular successes. And even then, there is something in these songs that makes them irresistible.

En el capítulo de esta semana tratamos el peculiar concepto de los placeres culpables, es decir, aquellas canciones que escuchamos en secreto pero que jamás admitiríamos que nos gustan. Temas a los que nos une una relación de amor-odio porque detestamos sus letras, al artista que las canta o porque nos incomoda el simple hecho de que sean éxitos populares. Y aun así, hay algo en estas canciones que las hace irresistibles.
