‘MURPHY’

Scottish born Kevin Murphy, a veteran to the Scottish dance scene. First started DJing rave music in the early 90’s at the tender age of 15, becoming the youngest resident DJ at the infamous Roxannes Nightclub in Perth, East Scotland. Quickly becoming a favourite with the Scottish scene and becoming a co producer for successful Scottish PA Ultimate Buzz; this lead him to perform at clubs and venues all over Scotland. Since the early days, Murphy has developed more towards his melodic Trance sound.

His ability to, and experience of reading the crowd, whether it’s a supporting warm up set or peak time set shows in all his performances. His sound of Trance would best be described as a journey of Melodic, Euphoric Trance, bringing you through into a hard, dark banging twist which can make him stand out from the rest. The highlight of his musical career was supporting Tiësto on his Club Life Tour in 2011, which saw him perform and deliver an outstanding 2 hour set at The Royal Highland Centre in Ingilston, Scotland. Over the past years until recently has seen him perform for top Scottish promoters Colours and their Coloursfest events at Braehead Arena, Glasgow. These events have seen him perform on the same bill as Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz, John O’Callaghan, Mark Knight, Mark Sherry, Hardwell, Scot Project, Lisa Lashes, Anne Savage to name just a few.

In the studio Murphy has produced a couple of progressive tracks under thee alias Van Oliver. The most popular track being a track called Lotus which was featured as Nick the Kids favourite and recommended track over a month period when released on Trackitdown.

In 2019 Murphy, who is also a professional tattooist relocated to London. He is currently open for events to perform and share his well experienced talent and styles of sounds.
