Good afternoon from Hong Kong
I write this as I am listening to tomorrow's programme, and I hope that you will enjoy the words from our Team: Mike, Jenny, Amie and Anita, and we have some of the finest Worship, some old and some new

Pastor Mike tells us of a really important message this week "Don't be that Christian"
Let us reflect on Mike's words this week., I have been reflecting on this since Mike sent it to me.

The weather here has been extremely hot with temperatures in excess of 34c degrees, and yesterday whilst cycling it peaked at 37c. The temperatures are set to hit even higher this coming week.

We pray for the wellbeing of the elderly and the sick. I am also aware that the temperatures in UK are also very hot, with many suffering, so we pray for all suffering wherever they may be in the world.

I was reading this week, passages from Luke and wanted to highlight this:

Luke 6:37-38 (NIV):
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Lord, I admit sometimes I am not so gracious with my measure to others, while hoping for grace myself. Today, I see my own need and Your lavish heart.
Help me to let go of grudges, give my time and resources freely, and trust that in loosening my grip, I will make room for Your gracious, running-over kindness to fill my empty hands.

These words from Luke, are the divine economy, and we know that mercy multiplies when shared. My small act of release unlocks heaven’s great abundance, and of course not as reward, but as the purest reflection of our generous God, who first forgave me, and then gave all to me.

I will be here for one more Sunday Hour, (next week) returning on 18th August, and enjoy a couple more weeks before returning to school work.
