This basically turned into a Block & Crown greatest hits mix lol. They just keep cranking out so many bangers... And Im snatchin em all up. The choice cuts. Their sound works well with this set.

Anyway, to me this is kinda like a throwback set, tho it is all brand new shit. A lot of the tracks in here remind me of funky house music back in the early 2000's. DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Bad Boy Bill, even John Kelley, John Aquaviva... that bangin funky filtered house they were all playing back then... Funk The System, Another Late Night, Off The Hook, Bangin In London, High Desert Soundsystem... this set is like an homage to that time and that sound. Theres some familiar tracks and sounds/samples here & there from the sets we all remember from back then throughout the mix.

I wanted to make one last funky house banger that sounds like that time, but still fresh and new. For those of us still digging that good old fashioned funky house music sound :)
