The popular disco group formed by Jay Stovall in 1977 aka Machine, released the monster hit "There But For The Grace Of God Go I" (1979). The band hails from New York and there's an interesting story behind the song. Check Wikipedia. Unfortunately, this would be their only big hit. A second LP was released in 1980 but sales were poor. The band separated with member August Darnell moving on to form Kid Creole & The Coconuts. I came across a release by Disco Street Machine. The song is titled "Natural".
