The Heptones were an influential Jamaican rocksteady and reggae vocal trio formed in Kingston in 1965. Consisting of Leroy Sibbles, Barry Llewellyn, and Earl Morgan, they were among the most significant vocal groups of the Studio One era alongside The Paragons. With hits like "Fattie Fattie" and "Book of Rules," they shaped the smooth, three-part harmony style of the genre. As lead singer and session bassist at Studio One, Leroy Sibbles also anchored many legendary reggae rhythms.
