[Gugu is a young female dj who was born in Springs (Payneville), then went to live in Tsakane and later moved to Kwa-Thema at the age of 8.she grew up in a very popular area where they had 4 taverns in her street, even though others took this as a challenge she used it as an advantage to establish herself. She grew up totally different than all other girls in the family whereby she’d stay up till late listening to different genres of house music that each tavern was playing trying to figure out what she really understood and liked. She then started attending events that were held annually to grow the love and understand how music impacted so many lives. She then discovered Soulful House and has been a lover of it.

Gugu started deejaying in 2013 where Dj Thabo (45bpm) taught her all the basics of playing. She later met a guy called Tumelo who helped her gain courage and confidence while on decks. In 2015 she got her first gig at a local car wash and park and has never stopped till today. Her first mix tape was featured on Style SA. She then released a second one title Soul Session 001 the Birthday mix. Earlier this year (June 2018) she was featured on the Urban beat Metro FM where she touched so many people with her Deepsoul Mix.

She has graced so many souls in the few mentioned places The Place Lounge in Heidleberg, GaaronaValley Lodge (Heidleberg), Bahama Bar (Kwa-Thema), Hangover Lounge( Carletonville), The Hype Pub (Mpumalanga) News Café(Kempton Park and many more. She has also had a pleasure in sharing stages with the well-known DjZanD, Sir LSG (Gogo Music), Thobs, Picat The Italian), Druza Da German (German Sundays), Tdkay, Rakwena(Friends and Cocktails), Mr Veta (The squad) just to mention a few.

She would really love to play Vinyls one of the good and she strongly believes the sky is the limit.
