After a 7” taster a couple of months back, I check out the debut LP on Ubiquity Records from The Soul Surfers – gritty raw funk out of Russia, with a slew of guests including Myron & E, JJ Whitefield (The Poets of Rhythm) and Shawn Lee.

Plus straight up psych-funk & vintage soul from Canadian groovers The Soul Motivators (debut album produced by Souljazz Orchestra’s Pierre Chretien). While we’re at it, may as well throw in The Souljazz Orchestra's latest drop from their forthcoming, highly anticipated album, Resistance (Strut Records).
