This mix was recorded live at the first ever BRAIN in New Zealand at DTM Nightclub on December 12th 1991.

The BRAIN was the first ever rave held in New Zealand, promoted by Auckland DJs Sam Hill and Sample Gee who owned Aucklands legendary dance import store BASSLINE RECORDS on O'Connell Street. A new type of music was arriving in those weekly shipments which was labelled "Techno and Rave". This new energetic sound had no outlet in Aucklands clubs and so The BRAIN was born as a way of sharing this fresh new sound to the clubbers of the city.

In 2012 Rip It Up magazine named The BRAIN one of the 25 most important moments in New Zealand music history.
