In this third and final course in my unofficial electro-swing trilogy, we hear how swing elements can be subsumed into other genres, giving rise to hybrids like swingstep, swinghop, ghettoswing, and swingbeat, where the swing elements may become so integrated into the larger track that they might easily be overlooked, sometimes reduced to mere looped samples. The boundaries also become foggy, letting in elements of blues, ragtime, jazz, rap, bass, or glitch.
