Faia (Femmes Fatales / Huldra Recordings / Small Records. NO)

Ever since she started spinning records in 2009, she's been a sought-after DJ and club promoter. Faia has played at most of the clubs, venues and raves in Oslo. With her techy, dark and funky sound she's had gigs at The Villa, Jaeger, Elefant, Nattfabrikken, Fugazi, Seeds, Fisk og Vilt, Blå, Turkish Delight, Sikamikanico, Skansen, Gudruns, Skippergata, Storgata 26, Hausmania, Månefisken and several others.

Primal Behaviour, Electric Fusion, Einzeit, Funky Fiction and Escape Reality are some of the events she's played at who really made an impression on Faia's experience with the techno underground scene in Oslo.

She's been traveling to most of Norway's major cities spinning music, such as Bergen, Trondheim, Kristiansand, Ålesund, and to her hometown Kristiansund.

She's been a part of and played at Oslo’s biggest underground electronic music festival Sommerøya, and at festivals like Sehr Schøn, Hjertøyafestivalen, Tahitifestivalen, Skjærvafest and Grooveyard festival in Norway. Faia has performed at 'Musikkfest Oslo' for several years in a row on various electronic venues.

She’s been booked at techno and house clubs around Europe such as Copenhagen's famous clubs Culture Box and Ved Siden Af, Club VOID in Plovdiv Bulgaria, and Burning Man Week Stockholm. In England Faia has played at The Deaf Institute in Manchester, and Club Nomad in London.
In 2015 she had her first Berlin gig in the main room at one of the coolest underground clubs; Rummels Bucht. She’s also performed at Golden Gate and Bohnengold in Berlin, Technodisco in Wetzlar, and Stroga Festival 2018. October 2019 she will play at a big cave rave at Sandsteinhöhlen in Halberstadt, Germany.
Earlier this year she's performed at the Jai Thep Festival in Chiang Mai and other events in Chiang Mai, Pai and Koh Phangan Thailand.

Back home in Oslo she's booked both Norwegian and international female DJs since 2010 to her 'Femmes Fatales' events. She wanted to do something about the gender imbalance in the club environment, so Faia and her former partner Tina V started up at the legendary clubs Sikamikanico and Skansen, and landed a 5 year residency at the techno-basement The Villa with the concept. The bi-monthly concept was moved to club Elefant in 2017 and had a monthly residency there between 2017-18 together with resident-DJ and partner MØRK.
At Elefant she’s also co-promoted the 'Deep Fridays' events together with Small Records and Thomas Skjærstad. She's been a part of Small Records from the very beginning, and is now in charge of the labels monthly SmallCast at Mixcloud.

With her great passion for house and techno she’s done podcasts for several radio stations, Kentaur Podcast, Pils & Plater, Porno Poltercast, Lounge Squatt podcast series, Draw the line radio show, Ballroom Radio and The Poeticast to name a few.
In the start of 2018 Faia got in to producing as well, and did a collab with the Norwegian producer Duppeditt, and got signed with Huldra Recordings. They will continue their work, so keep an eye out for these two. (Romklang Records)

Faia has been booked to events or shared decks with many well-known DJs and producers such as; Oxia, Martin Dawson, Nic Fancuilli, Pig&Dan, Ida Engberg, Per Hammar, Lottie, Djuma Soundsystem, Matthias Meyer, Gavin Herlihy, Solomun, Attaboy, Esther Duijn, Uone Jack, Nastia, BeSvendsen, Guy J, Kruse and Nuernberg, DJ Hell, Turmspringer, Insolate, Beddermann & Dahlmann, Luigi Rocca, Ben Klock, Recondite, We Are Nuts, Gabriel Ananda, Thomas Schumacher and Moog Conspiracy.

Faia love being behind the decks, and that also reflects the drive, energy and playfulness in her choice of music. Her favorite genres are deep tech, minimal, tech house, techno, psy tech, dark, dub, acid and hard techno, but can also play downtempo chill out and deep house sets. Just expect a hypnotic journey and great atmosphere when Faia is behind the mixer!
