Late night, Light the street lights and,
Embrace life, and the traffic fades,....it fades.

The city wakes before the sun,
The river washes through and on,
The cars, the people, the street life urges on,
Amidst the traffic, I hear laughter through the rain,
The sub way trains, for us, while the great they'll take the plane's.

The Restaurants lie bare now,
The stations fares have gone,
And people sleep in doorways.

Just People watching,
Clear skies, turning grey,
Time to join the pedestrian ways,
Take shelter from the rains of the day,
Till this traffic fades, till another day.
