From the Kersten Haavimb tape archives. Kersten gave me some information about James....

James Watkins was from New York. He was a DJ around 1986-1987 played the super popular "SubClub" a.k.a "LIPPS, Underground" (Where Asia SF currently resides). Both clubs in San Francisco. He was very "diverse" and had his own style that is for sure.
He left Bay area around 88, I think, and came back years later and played only twice for Alison's "Other Whirled" at The Endup. Then he left, and I don't know what happened to him.
