Been trying to get these boys on the show from the start of the year now there on! I couldn't get them in the studio but got the next best thing. As I won't be in the studio this month "I'll be rolling around in a field at the Low life festival" the boys have sent me a mix. So no talking just two hours of music,

Enjoy

Mind Fair is the conjoined brain-twin of Dean Meredith and Ben Shenton. As much a meeting of minds as it is a melting of minds. A mutual love of hi-fi, lo-fi, Arthur Russell, tape machine’s, strange 80’s European records. First brought together for International Feel with the Armenian tinged disco of ‘Kerry’s Scene’, subsequently together under various guises, such as M.E.B (Let’s Play House), T-Kut (Parkway) and Central Executives, to name a few.

After a slew of twelve inch releases, last year finally saw the release of Mind Fair’s tripped out first long player on Phil South Golf Channel Recordings accompanied by equally far out artwork by Thomas Bullock. Other Mind Fair off-shoot productions can be find found via their own Rogue Cat Sounds imprint as well as an impending Kinfolk release to look out for, if not for any other reason than the glorious Idjut’s version on the flip.

Rogue Cat Sounds also got into the record store day sprit with their fist reissue, a limited press of OPM’s ‘In and Out of Love’ which saw a collaboration between RCS and Chris ‘Mighty’ White at Turbo Island for the alluring full colour artwork of which was also incorporated into a tee-shirt design, sagain very limited but still available exclusive to Piccadilly Records.

Also on the horizon is a new ‘Faraway’ tape, following in the footsteps of Jacques Renault, Mark Seven, Joakim et al.

Above all all else Dean and Ben, as Mind Fair work tirelessly to keep true to their strong musical beliefs and will continue to share their enthusiasm of sound…
