92KTU / Aldo Marin / Remix / Freeez - I.O.U. / 1983

The #1 New York dance station in the 80’s was 92.3FM, aka 92KTU with a slogan of, “The hot one where every second sizzles”.

One of 92KTU's top DJs at that time was Aldo Marin. He produced many incredible short and long mashups, or then called, "custom music mixes".

Aldo's mixes were prominently featured on the station especially during Paco's show during his segment called, “Paco’s Super Mix”. This mix started daily at 4:10pm and lasted for at least 25min.

I was only 16-years old at the time, but an avid fan armed with a Tuner, a cassette deck and boxes of blank tapes. Enjoy this wonderful recording of history from my tape collection preserved for 35-years.
