Saiyan - Memories of Tyranny

I'd like to talk to you all for a minute, about my friend Dan.

You might have heard of Dan. He went by the name DJ Tyrant, and was one of Canada's most prolific freeform DJs. He was also one of the most genuinely awesome people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. My life is richer for having had him in it.

You may have noticed I've been speaking in the past tense, and that's because, if you didn't already know, Dan passed away a year ago. Actually, six days from now is the one year anniversary.

I didn't realise this when I was working out the schedule for my mix releases, it just sort of happened that way. But when I realised that I was going to be putting out this mix so close to the date, it felt like fate. So I decided to extend it to two hours, and renamed it in his honour.

You see Dan used to give me shit literally ALL THE TIME to play more freeform.

Well here you go dude, two whole hours of it. I just wish you were here to hear it.
