The fine folks of Portland's Flight crew invited me back down for another acid session. Their new monthly venue is superb and the night was a very special occasion indeed. For those that make it at least 30 minutes into this mix, the reason you're hearing happy birthday being played on a 303, is that this night was the eve of my fiance's birthday, and I took the opportunity to make it a surprise party for her. A bunch of our friends secretly came down from Seattle, and showed up at the venue, each claiming they "just happened to be in Portland" for one reason or another. I acquired an acid house track with the Happy birthday melody in the middle, and she was presented with cupcakes as it played. She was totally surprised.
