dj lukewarm - The Kyle Rabbit Mixtape original

This project was a unique opportunity to do a couple of meaningful things: 1) Raise Funds to provide clean drinking water and 2) Make someone's birthday memorable.
Towards the end of my son & I's 'Build a Well' Campaign, I offered up to donors the opportunity to have a custom mixtape created by yours truly for donating at a certain amount. My good friend Kris Kleinbeck seized this opportunity and donated hundreds of dollars to commission my mixtape services to craft a dedicated mix for his brother Kyle's birthday.
The result is this 2 hour long journey into the many musical influences that Kyle holds dear, including megamixes of old school Reggae compilations, rare groove hip hop samples, downtempo and hip hop bangers, nudisco groovers, and even some banjo #edits. This mix tested me in many ways, yet I was still able to wrangle in ~50 crucial tracks which include 7 original #edits just for this mix. I can't wait for you to listen in on this personal and sentimental project. It's an example of how DJs can make you feel nostalgic, inspired, & loved, and at the same time how music can change the world for the better.
